I was having problems with my furnace, and called H & N , I have used them in the past and was also very satisfied with their service. Jim Mergen their HVAC Tech. , came to my rescue, he checked everything and went further to make sure my furnace was working properly. Jim, also recommended to have a part to be replaced. Well , today I decided to have it replaced and called the Fennimore office and was advised that Jim will replace the part without being charged an extra service call . Thank you to everyone at H & N. Last year my AC/Heating system would not fire up just made a thud noise so I called H&N and spoke to maybe the same female receptionist? I told her about my previous experience and she claimed no one has ever quit working here, he still works here. She asked what my address and phone number was, I had to tell her 3 or 4 times, she asked how old my furnace was and she started laughing and chocking saying "that furnace is old" "that furnace is old" while chocking and laughing. I told her I don't think a furnace from 1990 is that old. Oh, no that's old. So she transferred me to a service guy, he explain my furnace was condemned due to a carbon leak many years ago "so he says, but I doubt it" and my furnace is too NEW for him to work on, so he gave my information to the sales department. Did anyone call me NO, did anyone stop out to check the furnace NO. Who ended up fixing it? I DID! THE INTAKE INDUCER PURGE MOTOR JUST NEEDED SOME OIL, AND WHILE I WAS AT IT, REPLACED THE INTAKE FLAPPER VALVE WITH A GENUINE PART AND IT WORKS FINE NOW! No more thud noise, fires right up. The furnace now works fantastic, thanks to me. So as you can see I don't need a new furnace, as a matter of fact I'm happy the sales guy or service tech never called or came out. I saved myself thousands of dollars if I would have been tricked into buying a new furnace. What a shame this company is. No I do not work for competitors, I just felt others should know my only two experiences with this business.

I called on a Sarurday and was immediately talking to a live person. I was given an estimated time to expect a technician to arrive, and wouldn't you know it, he was right on time. Travis, the technician, was told right away that I was only in the market to fix my furnace today. If it needed replacing I have brother in the Madison area who is a licensed HVAC guy who was going to install new if needed. Not only did Travis never try to sell me on new, he never tried selling me parts I didn't need either. He was ONLY concerned in diagnosing the trouble and going from there. While calling on a Saturday for this kind of work is never going to be "cheap", what I saved by getting Travis at my house today was probably in the hundreds of dollars range. As it turned out, once he got here and started looking at, one of the switches was accidentally turned off the night before, and was quickly found to be the problem. He then did a combustion test for safety, and was on his way. From the minute he covered his boots, to the minute he billed us, Travis represented his company, and his profession, as a true professional. H and N will forever be on my short list for plumbing, heating, and electrical work going forward. Very happy customer!!

terrible service & owners. i called when my heat went down last january & i spoke to the owner aka safety joe LOLOL he informed me i either had to wait two days or call myers heating because they were too busy! i find that hard to believe because they are too expensive to start....

About a decade ago I called H&N, Boscobel, WI location because my AC was not working properly, just the blower would run or the fan outside on the air condenser would not run or sometime the condenser fan outside would run but not the blower. FYI they should work in tandem. The service guy Jason came out right away opened the access cover on the AC/Heating system and used a volt gauge to check current and said everything seems fine, charged $150. I called 2 months later when it acted up again and asked to speak to him and the female receptionist said he does not work here anymore. So I went out and purchased a window AC so me and my family did not cook.

excellent work, and very helpful workers
