The rooms were clean and nice
Only problem i had was the water pressure was a bit low and the restaurant is closed, but tried to give it 8 stars.. so it evens out. It looks like they're trying to sell the place. It's a shame. To imagine this gem in it's heyday... I can only hope if it DOES get a new owner they do their hardest to keep it's charm.
Stayed here on July 15th 2016. This is a smaller older place but don't let that scare you. My room was clean and well kept. No funky orders, the air worked great and the bathroom was great. The TV in the room was an older tube style TV but after 500 miles on my motorcycle that day I was just looking for a nice place to spend the night and comfortable bed, that's what I got. For the price it was a nice place to spend the evening. I would stay there again.
Go here if you are anywhere near, you won't be disappointed.
I found the whole process added to the charm of the place. There was a fridge in the room, but was told i could take anything from the 'communal' fridges upstairs... any coffee, water, etc. Each room was open and semi-unique. Was very clean. I came back after getting dinner at the family diner down the street (Friedricks). The owners were sitting in the waiting room to give a cordial "Hello".
Very nice place with friendly staff. Clean and interesting decor. All you need at reasonable rate.

This place has got charm coming out of every pore! I got here around 5pm and the place was locked up. There was a sign to call a number if you're trying to check in. Was poised for disappointment at this point. The 3rd number finally worked, she said she'd "call Mike", but ended up showing up herself to check me in real quick, but had to get back to her meeting. She was there less than 5 minutes later.
